Its very interesting to see how similar the Widow finch and the Whydah is .I have had a pair of widow finches and the female looks exacly like the female whydah finch.The male Whydah have exacly the same posture as the male widow finch but completely dark blue body.

From observing my white doves, however, I noticed the females are not as aggressive as the males. Also, males tend to ‘puff’ themselves more while cooing and don’t back down that easily when focused. -

I’m 13 and my dog ran away so I’ve come to see my love for birds!
I own a pair of diamond doves I bought this week and I trained them to perch on my finger in about 3 days.
You can also tell the females apart usually becaure they have lighter feathers. (:
I only wish they would have eggs quicker!Thankyou so much!
