Question by Jeff: I gave my bird to the pet store can I get him back?
Just today I gave my bird away to a pet store, I miss him so much and realize that is was a dumb decision and I want him back. It hasn’t even been 24 hours, all I did was write my name and phone number down. Will they let me get him back if I go in tomorrow and explain?

You can try it. I would go in as soon as possible and ask for him back. if you know which one is yours then you should be able to get him back if you ask politely. If worse comes to worse you may have to buy him back for store price. But if you want him back you may have to do this. Technically you relinquised all rights to him when you signed him off at the pet shop. Go in and buy him before anyone else does.

It all depends on the owners. If they are nice and you explain politely they may give him back. However it they are mean there is a good possibility they will make you buy him back if you want him.

Don’t you think your bird deserves an owner that doesn’t just give him away? If I owned the store I wouldn’t even let you buy it back for less than 300% of what you were paid.

Just go in and explain that you were very upset about a personal issue and werent thinking right. Put in eye drops and rub your eyes to make it look like you were crying! I hope they give it back to you! I understand where your coming from, and I have done that before too. Your not a bad owner for doing that! Good Luck!
